In 2012, custom home builder Rafter B Construction was born out of a love of all things building by owner Marlin Brown. Marlin likes to say that building is in his genes, as his great grandfather, grandfather, and father all made their living in construction. Custom home building is really more of a family gene than a family trade. Growing up, Marlin worked alongside his dad and grandad from a very early age spending his summers and other time off from school working on a job site. For Marlin Brown, owning Rafter B Construction is a lifelong dream come true. 

In the early years, Marlin and the Rafter B crew honed their skills on most any job they could find, from outdoor structures, kitchen, and bath renovations, to decks and one or two-room home additions. Marlin’s dad Bill joined the Rafter B team in 2014, and it truly became a family affair. 

Over the years, Rafter B Construction has grown into a full-service custom home builder with over 35 years of combined experience in the construction industry. The Rafter B team is a true custom home builder team from the ground up - delivering higher quality and holding to the highest standards in building today. From solid corners and stick framed roofs to 10-inch concrete rebar reinforced footings, and everything in between, Rafter B's goal is always to exceed the required minimum building codes.
